Legitimately life changing. I'm sure it's not for everyone, and it seems really silly, but rather than procrastinate and say "oh I'll just finish this tomorrow" I know I'm going to have to come up with an excuse for "my boss". That excuse is often more work than just doing the task so the end result is I get more done. Been using it for about a month and it's probably been one of the most productive months of my entire life. Pros: really helps me get stuff done Cons: none

Tl;dr: Highly recommend! I came across BaaS and decided to give it a try, as my ADHD often gets in the way of getting things done. Brilliant decision! First and foremost, prepare to meet a team of incredibly kind and supportive people who go the extra mile to make your experience great. Whether it's BaaS founder Manasvini or other team members, you’ll always be greeted with a cheerful and motivating vibe. Having someone to "report to my boss" every day has made me significantly more productive, and when I’m feeling a bit under the weather, they encourage me and cheer me on until I feel motivated again. Even when I hit a real low, they managed to pull me out of the slump with awesome ideas and tips that helped me get back in the saddle. If you need daily accountability and a friendly nudge in the right direction, I can wholeheartedly recommend BaaS! Marie from Germany

Boss as a service (BAAS) is incredible. Almost 5 years ago, I started the program, at a time when I was having trouble getting a single task done in a week. In general, I was making zero progress towards my life goals. Results first: In a short few years, I made a complete career change (software to comp bio research), was promoted, completed a major publication (Nature), learned mandarin (~5000 words/comfortable speaking), self taught organic chemistry, biochemistry, and took PhD classes in biochemistry at MIT. To emphasize balance here, I tracked and wasted time binging Netflix, built routine runs, and have a great group of friends. So how did it happen? It started slow. Agnisha, my first boss tried to convince me to respond to her nagging emails, and it usually took me a week! And I never did half of what I set out to do. So so gradually that I couldn't even observe it, she massaged the situation, tweaking our routine slowly but surely until we were exchanging daily messages (I think your boss will now message you through pretty much any chat app), goal setting, and trying to reflect and improve. All of a sudden, things started to change. Chinese leapt forward, and Ochem, and the first career shift (to software engineering for biology research). Enter Shivika. Shivika worked with me every day to develop a routine, together we got down the "brushing teeth habits" of every day: Exercise, reflection, reading, etc. Eventually, we started a routine of laying out the full schedule for every day, hour by hour. People tell me now how organized I am, how they think I'm "type A", passionate, and accomplished. And I have to laugh, because I know I'm the most easy going person, how I was terribly disorganized, etc. A final note, since I've had 2 friends start using BAAS and have spent so much time with this service, although it's really a life lesson. Change takes time, and some ideas work, and some don't. Different people have different motivations. I've probably tried 50 different systems for organizing my schedule, my todos, and holding myself accountable at the prompting of my boss. For every 1 that works, there are 5 that didn't. So don't think that because a system doesn't work for you, it's game over. A lot of people use Beeminder, including a close friend of mine, but personally I don't get motivated by it. So, keep trying, and you will find your way.

BAAS was an absolute life-changer. I've been a procrastinator for as long as I can remember (tried all kinds of different techniques and apps to change my ways, with no success) and this service turned that around 180 degrees. There's something about accountability coming from other humans - something about us helping each other achieving goals, moving forward - something that I cannot quite explain, but that really worked for me. The human factor is definitely what makes BAAS stand out. Amazing idea - simple yet extremely effective implementation.

So simple yet so powerful. I think I tried working with almost a dozen accountability coaches before, but BAAS is definitely my favorite. It's cheap, it's simple and my "boss" is very nice and motivating. If you're working by yourself, adding accountability with a real human being that is not your other procrastinator friend (is it called a "brocrastinator"?) will help you get twice as much done. Plus: you have somebody to celebrate your victories with! Thank you BAAS, you helped me get a lot of things done and contributed greatly to my mental health! Now I feel like I can do anything, as long as I have my "boss" to commit to/

Amazing experience with BAAS. When you're a founder / CEO of a company, you basically have no accountability (except from your clients, the market & yourself of course) but it's not like having someone to coach you and holding you accountable on your business AND personal goals. This is exactly this problem that Boss as a Service is solving: it gives you the accountability & coaching you need to succeed, develop discipline & reach your goals. With their help I have been able to crush all my objectives, finishing a 75 hard challenge, growing my startup & more importantly develop a strong, self-disciplined character to be able to reach my ambitious Goals. Thanks to Roshni and the BaaS Team for inventing such a simple yet so powerful service for business owners. 🙏🏼

What I like the most is how kind and approachable they are. Whenever I can, I talk about this service to my friends. It's the one thing that has most impacted my life in recent years. I'm a writer, and thanks to them, I've been able to write, publish, and translate continuously. I also exercise regularly, even when I really don't feel like it. Without them by my side, I wouldn't accomplish anything. Maybe I would just be playing video games and doing nothing else.

I've been a BaaS user for over two and a half years. With BaaS, you get a specific person (a personal individual), who will follow up with you in the specific way that YOU ask them to. They will talk to you, ask questions, and adjust to what you say. If you're the kind of person, like me, that needs to talk things out loud, having that sounding board is a game changer. Because of BaaS, I completed several rooms in my house, am halfway through a degree, and have completed lots of work and family items. I love how customizable and adjustable BaaS is. I can ask my boss to follow up on my sleep, my family, my work, or even just to ask me how happy I feel. It's definitely one of THE most valuable things I pay for - and for the price, it's a steal.

I've found BAAS super useful for getting back on track with my academic research after a long period of procrastinating way too much. Like another reviewer said, the idea might seem silly but it *really* helps a certain kind of person stay on track. There's something very motivating about knowing that I'm going to get (friendly and encouraging!) email reminders asking for proof I've done the tasks I allotted myself for the day. I hate unresolved emails in my inbox so that's definitely one aspect of it! I usually send in a weekly task list then send in proof of completed tasks daily. This helps set me up for the week in that I actually put thought into what I will realistically be able to get done each day of a particular working week. Writing my to-do list feels way more meaningful to me now. Try it out if you're a procrastinator who is struggling getting by with intrinsic motivation alone!

I have been using BaaS for about 2 weeks now. Its a game changer. I knew about the service for awhile, but the fee seemed steep (although completely fair, these are humans doing a job, after all) when I was a student. I decided to try it now that I have a steady job and let me tell you, the 25 bucks is well worth it, I wish I had given myself this tool when I was still a student! I dont use BaaS for work, but for how I spent my time after work. Harshita helps me make my days fullfilling and fun by motivating me to actually engage in my hobbies and self care, instead of stewing in my ADHD paralysis, doom scrolling for 6 hours and then going to bed. The service: I sent my Boss my todo's in the morning over whatsapp. I also have some recurring tasks going. I text her pictures and videos throughout the day as proof for completing the tasks. She cheers me on and reminds me about the things I still have to do. We are dealing with a bit of a time difference and shes free on sundays, but she answers everything eventually. This definitely only works for a certain type of person. My roommate immediately said "you pay her.. So why would you do what she says"... Yeah, this wouldnt work for her. But if having someone else witness you failing on a daily basis (while being strangely okay with watching yourself fail) sounds like hell to you, this is really going to help. In the past 13 days, Ive only skipped one run (which I made up for the next day). Ive painted, Ive read, Ive cleaned my house for 15 minutes every day instead of letting it get so bad I need the entire sunday to clean up. I sent my todo list to Harshita in the morning and dont have to spend energy during the day on convincing myself to do any of it. I dont have to spend energy on being sad about another day wasted. It saves you so much energy and time (and money, if you make a big weekly grocery run one of your todo's, pro tip), that I truly believe this service could turn a lot of peoples lives around.

for the Super Plan
Loving my experience so far and so glad I could continue my super plan! We created realistic goals and trackers. Harshita is the biggest component of my plan's success - not only is she really organized, she's the best hype woman. I love my google sheets tracker and Harshita's reminders on keeping it realistic. She also sends me really great articles to up my motivation, which I absolutely love. I think the biggest help is when I'm stuck with a task, Harshita always helps me break down exactly what about the task is making me procrastinate (rather than blanket assuming I'm lazy) and she comes up with innovative solutions to the problem, and we keep trying till I'm able to achieve my goals. I feel she's way more invested in my goals than I am! Loving the calls too, we try to do short 15 mins check-ins a couple times a month instead of a long one hour one, which is super helpful for me and glad you guys are flexible like that. I also love the evening text reminders to give my cat her meds! I feel like Harshita is a really fun person with an amazing personality, and I'm glad we were able to get into a good working relationship - it really helps being more accountable if you genuinely like your boss :) She does have high expectations of me so I'm doing my best to keep up! LOL. As a person with ADHD who has a wide range of interests, but lacks the discipline and follow-through, I'm glad for Harshita and BaaS and credit you guys for the fact that I'm keeping up with my fitness, bills/budgeting, daily routines and work.

Steal of the Year

“How nice it sounds not to have a boss!” 👆🏻 Most common reaction when I mention that I've never had a proper boss. Let me tell you, it's not nice at all. A manager should be a positive force in one's working day. Someone who takes responsibility for my development, who helps me set goals and who holds me accountable. Someone who supports, pushes, listens and—perhaps most importantly—removes obstacles. As a co-founder, however, I have never been on the receiving end of such leadership – sad, but to some extent expected. Now, however, I have finally found a substitute, which makes up for at least a tiny bit of all the nice things a really good manager brings to the table. Fittingly enough, the substitute is called Boss as a Service. Leadership on demand. Or perhaps rather accountability, encouragement and follow-up on demand. The concept is deceptively simple. Every day I write my goals for the day to my "boss" – if I don't, I know she’ll nag me until the goals are jotted down. She quickly responds with something encouraging and says she will follow up later that day. Throughout the day, the expectation from her is now in the back of my mind, and is often the difference between procrastination and maintaining focus. Usually she also returns with encouraging messages along the way. I then report back with my results, regardless of the outcome, or I can count on plenty of reminders until I do. May sound simple, is incredibly powerful. At least for me. — 👇 Here’s why I feel that BaaS works so well for me ✅ Accountability. Knowing that a human (not an AI!) expects something from me motivates me. ✅ The encouragement. Sometimes all I need is someone to say they believe in me. ✅ Praise. We all feel good when we get it, me included. That someone praises me when the day's goals are achieved is wonderful. ✅ The interpersonal. In these #AI times, I find myself valuing anything done with heart by a real human much more – even if it's not done perfectly. I had intended to @ my regular "boss" Ayushi, but she is currently on a meditation retreat, so I have a substitute. How about that? I’ll loop in the founder Manasvini Krishna instead. — I've been using BaaS for work, but my gut tells me that the service works even better for personal behavior change. The kind you want to make time for, but where you yourself are the only one making the demands. Weight loss, reading habit, language learning – you name it. Maybe those of you reading this will get ideas about what exactly you would use BaaS for. If you do, do feel free to share in a comment – I look forward to reading 🙂 — P.S. I have no connection to BaaS other than that I am an extremely satisfied customer, who thinks that 25 dollars / month for my own "boss" must the steal of the year ✂️

Boss as a Service was exactly what I needed, and delightfully nothing more than that. I considered personal coaching (which I have done before and loved too), but coaching is expensive and more intensive than I needed right now. All I needed was someone to hold me accountable until I finished my degrees. My husband and friends were not good accountability buddies and kept reminding me of conflicting priorities that pulled me off track. BAAS to the rescue! My "Boss" got my task list, stayed professional and encouraging, but continually reminded me when I got off-task for more than a day. It helped me keep to my original target priorities until they were actually done. I got more of my target goal done with 6 months of BAAS than I did the previous 18 months. I don't usually consider myself a procrastinator or lazy or anything like that. I get a lot done every day. But I am easily distracted from my own goal by other immediate needs. If you, similarly, have trouble with distractions, BAAS may be the simple tool you need to stick to your planned tasks.

One of the worst things about working for yourself is not having a boss. You don't answer to anyone except your clients. You set your own goals and manage your own day. Yep, you read that right. It's one of the worst things. For those of us who *aren't* productivity machines, who don't cheerfully eat that frog every morning, non-client things pile up. Especially the icky things that we hate doing, and that nobody except us will notice if we don't do. For me, that's self-marketing activities 😱 I've twice tried setting up an accountability group, but nobody joined in. I guess everyone in my network is a frog-eating productivity machine 🤷 Then I discovered BaaS. Sounds like a new platform, right? Wrong. BaaS is Boss as a Service: bossasaservice.com My boss is Harshita Bajaj. Every Monday, we set goals for the week. Every day at around 17:30 she checks in to see how I've done with my tasks for the day. If I haven't done them, she bugs me until they're done. We've spent the first couple of weeks clearing the backlog of my home to-do list and establishing a daily writing habit on LinkedIn and Medium. It's been a gentle introduction. She hasn't yet had to bug me. And I *have* found myself getting stuff done when I'm tired, and I would normally go 'oh sod it, I'm knocking off for the day' and leave it undone. Because I know that someone cares that it gets done. Harshita and I share a love of crime thrillers and we recommend things that we think each other would like. We're gradually building a friendship. I know that'll make me even more likely to get things done, because I hate letting down my friends. For people who need a sterner boss, you can have that too. It's not all cuddly cosy chats. It's ultimately about accountability and getting things done in whatever way suits you. Next week, I'm eating the frog. I'm putting icky stuff on my list of weekly and daily goals. I'm not looking forward to it. But it's the only way I'll get it done.

This service has been a game changer for me personally. I used to be the kind of person who would always say to myself "if i could just work on being more consistent in life i would be the best". The best way I can explain the boss program is like when you listen to an audiobook of a great coach who has helped multiple people but what would be even better than the book is working with said coach. That is what this service provides and on top of that the boss is very demanding. It's not for everyone but if your someone who wants/needs a kick in the ass, I highly recommend it.

I wanted to let you know I'm finding BaaS really helpful. My actual employer is based in another country/timezone and extremely busy, so I'm managing my own workload a lot. I had been really struggling to motivate myself to do the boring/uncomfortable tasks that make up a good percentage of my job. Every day I'd write out a to-do list, but by the end of the day I had only checked off one or two things, so I'd work late to compensate and still not get everything done. Since I've had Rosh to check up on me, I've found it so much easier to motivate myself, and also to switch off when I've done "enough". I haven't (yet!) missed many to-dos, so she hasn't really had to get strict, but just knowing someone will be checking that I've done the minimum I set out to achieve has completely changed my productivity for the better. Having a real person check in with me is also important. My schedule varies week to week, so having a "daily to do list" just doesn't work for me. Setting a fresh to-do list every day with someone who will understand why things are different today is great and helps me to adapt when things unexpectedly change. I also really like that tasks have to be "proved" with a time-stamped photo or similar. It has been challenging to adapt some tasks to something that can be proved and it does take some time sometimes (I have to block out sensitive data etc), but with the extra time I've gained from being more productive it doesn't feel like too much, and I know I can't cheat! I also like being able to use whatsapp - I've had specific "productivity" apps before and I just end up forgetting to log in. I use Whatsapp every day so I never miss a message from Rosh. In conclusion, it's a great concept and it works well.

[My Boss] has been absolutely incredible in my self-development journey. She has incredible people-skills, organizational skills, and a knack for devising bullet-proof plans to achieve your goals. I've been with BaaS for what feels like almost a year now, and it's been a core aspect of transforming a hectic period of my life from living on my own to purchasing/renovating a home to living with my girlfriend on top of navigating day-to-day personal/professional aspirations/responsibilities. I'm extremely appreciative of BaaS and my Boss for helping through a good chunk of the year. Thank you for being such an amazing coach!

Dakshi was a great boss! I was a little worried about the time difference when i first started, but my boss was very flexible in how she helped me complete tasks. At first i needed help with more daily tasks and she accommodated my needs with different daily reminders on different days. As time progressed it was discovered i needed more help remembering to do tasks at specific times during the day. Dakshi accommodated my requests and responded with flexibility. When things didn’t get done she asked me why and challenged me to make changes so that i would be more likely to complete the tasks. The reminders alone are enough to make this service well worth the investment, but Dakshi herself made the accountability enjoyable. Much like a good friend checking in with you to see if you completed the tasks you set out to accomplish. Currently i am in a season where i dont need BAAS, but in the future i can see myself using the service again and i hope Dakshi is still working with this company.
